Remembering Big Dave Rochester
We say goodbye to our San Diego Bonsai Club president, Big Dave, born December 25, 1958 and taken from us on June 9, 2013. He was always cordial and made everyone laugh with his unending humor. His helpful and respectful attitude was contagious. To him, service to our SDBC members was a priority. He once said at one of our monthly meetings: “…if you see someone in the room walking around and seem needing help about bonsai, say hello and help him or her…”
Yes, Sensei Big Dave was more than a bonsai artist; he was a musician, a master carpenter, and a great friend. We will miss him. We send our condolences, our thoughts, and our prayers to his family.
