Bonsai Pavilion at the Safari Park Bonsai Pavilion volunteers at Safari Park are looking forward to hosting the SDBC members on Sunday, May 19th. Newer members should certainly take this opportunity to check out the impressive bonsai in the Pavilion. We will have a silent auction as a fundraiser for the Bonsai Pavilion so please bring bonsai-related items to donate. Members bring in interesting items and bidding can get competitive for the extra special ones. For those members who already signed up and received receipts at the SDBC show on April 27 and 28: You can just come to the Safari Park at 9AM and before 10:30AM to get the tickets at the park entrance. There will be a Bonsai Pavilion table set up there with your names so that you can check in and receive your free passes. As mentioned at the show, you can bring your lunches and silent auction donations and a wagon or cart to transport them to the Bonsai Pavilion. Your carts will also be handy for carrying your silent auction winnings back to your cars. You are guests at the park for the entire day. If you did not sign up at the show and need to check the list of attendees, please call ‘lyn Stevenson, 858-486-4805, ASAP for instructions. She will have information and a ticket list and be able to answer any questions about attendance. We will have tables, chairs, umbrellas, and waters available. The meeting is at 10:30AM and the auction will continue through the lunch. The Bonsai Pavilion will be closed to the other park visitors until our event is over. |
