Room 101, Casa del Prado, Balboa Park Our February program will feature Cheryl Manning, a bonsai artist for over 40 years. She is a well-known bonsai artist, and she was both a student and a close friend of John Naka, the "father" of American Bonsai. Aside from being a bonsai artist, Cheryl is also a writer. She has written countless articles about bonsai in different magazines in the United States and around the world. Cheryl has conducted many workshops, demonstrations, and presentations for bonsai clubs and bonsai conventions. Her presentation will start after our membership meeting until 12:45PM. In addition to her presentation, she agreed to conduct two bring-your-own-tree workshops: 8:30-10:30AM and 1:30-3:30PM for four members in morning and four in afternoon.
